Earthquakes Please
08.30.05 (11:26 am)   [edit]

Some people have asked me how I can stand living in a place where an earthquake can hit any time. I'll tell you what...I'll take a little shake every once in a while over what the people in Lousiana are dealing with right now. It looks like a war zone!

i've been keeping in touch with my work's office in baton rouge over the last few days and it's so sad to hear about everything from someone who is experiencing it first hand. i can't stop praying for those people.

Yeah it's absolutely crazy. I know someone who works for Safeco Insurance that's going to have to head over there and deal with all the people who have lost their homes.

I heard about 18 people who died because they didn't want to leave their apartment building and all their "stuff". Stuff you can replace, people you can't. It's very sad. Weird too that I had a couple dreams last week about being in a 3-4 story building that was flooding up to the top story (this was before the news of the hurricanes).
