Survey
06.22.05 (12:44 pm)   [edit]
So my friend Tyler and I went around today with a video camera asking people four questions:
What impression(s) do you have, or what do you think of the church?
What do you think of Jesus?
also (not video taped)
If you could pick a specific time of day to go to church what time would it be?
What style of music do you like, choir or band?

If you want to answer these, especially if your non-Christian then please do so. The first two questions are going to be used in a sermon series and the second two are for my own research.

Oreo Cookie
06.16.05 (8:13 pm)   [edit]

I've been very blessed to see several of my homies in the last few weeks, a couple of whom I haven't seen since my wedding. I forgot to snap a pic of Delvyn and Adam when they came through but here's one of Mikey, myself, and Nate doing our impression of an Oreo.

Earthquake
06.15.05 (7:02 am)   [edit]

Most everyone has heard by now that we had a giant earthquake that I didn't feel last night. It was a 7.0 about a hundred miles off the coast which equates to about a 4.0 here. I was in a meeting at Starbucks and didn't feel a thing nor did anyone else in our meeting. Jess felt it while at Borders and saw lights and signs swaying.
In '92 we had a 7.0 quake and in '94 we had a 6.9 both of which had stong after shocks and we're centered a lot closer to Eureka. The media of course is jumpy because of everything in South East Asia and everyone was quick to throw out a Tsunami warning which prompted my Mother and Father in Law up in Seattle to worr y about us. Apparently everyone freaked and started making calls becuase they couldn't get through on the phone for an hour due to overloaded circuits.

If you were in the area post your thoughts...

Upcoming stuff...
06.08.05 (7:26 am)   [edit]

I just found out late last night that my homies Delvyn and Adam are going to be swinging by tonight on their way up to Oregon. I haven't seen Delvyn since my wedding so it'll be dope.

Tomorrow I will be forgoing a day in the office to be a part of focus group having something to do with business. They couldn't tell me details but they could tell me they we're feeding me and paying me $150.

Friday Jess and I will be heading down to the city to hang out and watch a Giants game which, as much as the Giants suck right now will still be awesome! Also we might hook up with Mikey and Nate who are currently driving through Nebraska.

Monday
06.06.05 (9:06 am)   [edit]

Had a great weekend:

-Date night with Jess on Friday, she gave me my birthday present early which is a pair of Giants Tickets for this Friday!
- Golf with Dad Saturday morning, we didn't do so well but it was fun.
- Relaxed Sunday afternoon and played another round of golf late in the day.

Today it's actually raining a bit which just adds to the abnormal weather we're having this spring. After lunch today I'm going to my old high school to be a part of a panel for a discussion on abstinence. Should be interesting...

Smashing
06.02.05 (9:10 am)   [edit]

I'm a bit tardy with the post but we had a great Memorial Weekend (although Jess was a bit sick) hanging out with our home slice Brian. We checked out the kinetic madness as well as toured some fine breweries in the area, and went up the coast to walk through Fern Canyon. All in all a fun weekend. Thanks for coming up B!
