California's Redwood Coast
Interesting
05.25.05 (9:54 am)   [edit]

So I just got introduced to the Wittenburg Door which is a religious satire publication which I'm really starting to like. Check out an interview they did with one of the most well known people in history - here.

Also you can see a trailer of their story on Benny Hinn here.

05.23.05 (9:47 am)   [edit]
I just received a confirmation that Brian 'Airman' Contival will be coming up north of the redwood curtain to chill with Jess and I this Memorial Weekend. There will be much rejoicing and brew drinking but we'll probably stay away from the Casino where Brian pulled in a ton of money off the penny slots last year.

Memorial Weekend!
05.19.05 (1:51 pm)   [edit]
If you happen to be nearby on Memorial Day weekend then you should come check out the Kinetic Sculpture Race (seen also in pics above). It's a unique Humboldt Experience which has contestants racing human powered machines over land and sea for a 3 day race.
You can watch the video below for a taste.

Nerds Unite
05.18.05 (11:44 am)   [edit]
Well the last installment of Star Wars is starting at Midnight tonight and the nerds are coming out of the woodwork to show their solidarity. If your wondering what type of people wait all day in line to see this flick then check this out. His name is Scott Bounds and he's keeping a photo blog which will be updated througout the day.

In other news I just had two cavities filled which was a blast. I'm begining to ponder the benefits of dentures.

PS3
05.17.05 (7:47 am)   [edit]

I've been playing a lot of Mike Tyson's Punch Out lately. It's a good game with a lot of positive moral values. Anyways I've been playing my Nintendo since 1985 and in the last 8 years I've been saving up my allowance to buy a Playstation and then they go and come out with a Playstation 3! It took me several years to transistion to my two button Nintendo Controller from my one button Atari so I'm a bit nervous. I didn't read the whole article but it seems like the new PS3 can do just about everything including becoming self-aware and brainwashing your kids to never go outside again.

Narnia
05.10.05 (12:52 pm)   [edit]

I read the LOTR books as a kid but I was much more into C.S. Lewis and The Chronicles of Narnia. So needless to say I'm stoked to see the first movie that will be released this December. WETA who created the creatures for LOTR worked on this film so you know it's going to be good. Check out the trailer by clicking on the picture below.

Inspirational!
05.09.05 (8:43 am)   [edit]
We know Jesus is always with us but now you can encourage and remind your kids of the same thing with Jesus Inspirational Sports Figures. Collect them all!

Get yo prayer on!
05.05.05 (1:03 pm)   [edit]
Today is the National Day of Prayer and I just got back from a city prayer luncheon with city officials, businessmen, pastors, and public service people. Over all it was a nice program but pretty stale. I didn't have high expectations and personally went more to network and see the who's who of local Christians.

Really, Really Good
05.04.05 (8:59 am)   [edit]
I had to help a brother by giving a shout out...Bob Brown who is a really, really good photographer has a new web site that was just developed by Mediatricians.
It's worth checking out here.
